We hold a community meeting on the second Monday of the month. Our next community meeting was scheduled to be held on 13 June. Unfortunately we are cancelling this meeting once again due to the very limited works that are taking place on site. As a result the next meeting will be on 11 July beginning at 6pm in Cantillon’s site office, which is next to the entrance of Queen’s Quay, behind the blue site hoarding. All neighbours are welcome to attend and ask the demolition team questions.
Summary of work
The archaeological excavations are ongoing on behalf of Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA). Roman remains have been found in two of the mitigation pits. Works are continuing in pits by Fur Traders House.
Archaeological excavations will begin on the Queensbridge House south side of the site in the coming weeks. We are still looking to start work on the bridge structure, the part of Queensbridge House over Upper Thames Street, soon but still do not yet have a date for this. Thames Water works to Queen’s Quay are still planned. We will keep residents informed as this moves on.
